Datron 1059 Digital Multimeter
General information.
In it's day, the Datron 1059 was a great piece of British test equipment. The
accuracy of the Datron 1059 was much better than many digital multimeters
available today.
The company Datron have since become known as Fluke, but there is nothing on
their site regarding equipment released under the Datron name. All I have right
now are the specifications.
Functions.
*
DC Voltage: 5 ranges to 1000v.
*
AC Voltage: 4 ranges to 1000v.
*
DC current: 4 ranges to 1Amp
*
AC current: 4 ranges to 1Amp
*
Resistance: 5 ranges to 10 MegOhm.
100% overrange.
All ranges allow 100% over-range, allowing them to measure higher inputs. For
example, the 1 Amp range will measure to 1.99999 Amps.
Specifications.
The specifications below relate to the product when new. All test equipment drifts
over time and, as with most test equipment, frequency counters should be regularly
checked and calibrated to ensure that they still meet the manufacturers
specifications.
If you manage to get your hands on one of these, as it will be many years old, you
should first have the accuracy checked.

More information.
Although there appears to be no information about Datron branded products, the
Fluke
Web site does have information about their present range of test equipment.
