New communications magazine.
Magazines.
Present magazines seem to link CB and PMR with Amateur radio, military matters,
broadcast radio and similar topics. This seems a little crazy, as CB and PMR446
are public communications - there for the general public to chat to each other.
CB and PMR446 require no special knowledge or licence to operate, just like telephones
and Internet chat rooms, etc. Just because people like to chat, it surely doesn't
mean that they care about military systems and Amateur radio (which requires a
special exam pass to operate).
Our plan.
Our plan is to create a new magazine which concentrates on public communications,
such as CB, PMR446, Internet communications, mobile phone, etc.
The concept is of an unbiased magazine, giving information and technical articles
about different communications available for public use. Being unbiased, not linked
to any manufacturer or service provide, would mean being able to give genuine
information without the sales lines that cloud the facts.

we may be able to create the ideal magazine for the general public - rather than
just another radio Amateur magazine like Radio User has become.
